Course Details

GNM or General Nursing Midwifery is a Three years diploma course and is one of the most recognized in the field of Nursing.GNM diploma course is considered as a stepping stone towards making a career in the Nursing field. Successful completion of a GNM diploma leads them to be registered as an RNRM (Registered Nurse Registered Midwife) and are designated as a Nurse to working with Government, private hospitals and clinics.Future prospects for students also lies in pursuing higher education & become eligible to pursue BSc Nursing and BSc (Post-Basic) Nursing programmes.CINS is the most preferred Nursing School for GNM in West Bengal, for its high placement records and extensive learning process.

4Age & SexThe candidate must be (Female only) between the ages of 17 to 27 years as on 31 December of the same year of the session.
5NationalityShe should be a citizen of India.

She shall be a resident of West Bengal uninterruptedly for at least five years, preceding the date of making the application for admission.
 

The residential certificate should be issued by a Gazetted officer/MLA/ZillaParishad/Sabhadhipati/Mayor of Municipal Corporation.

6EducationCandidates passed or applied for 10

+2 Examinations from any stream (Science/Commerce/Arts). Desirable performance as per WBJEEB.

7Submission of  ApplicationApply online through WBJEEB portal(www.wbjeeb.nic.in/ www.wbjeeb.in).
8Medical FitnessCandidate should be medically fit.
9Selection ProcedureSelection will be based on WBJEEB merit list and counselling.
10Vacations & HolidaysAs per norms laid down by West Bengal Nursing Council & Indian Nursing Council.
11ExaminationA Candidate shall be eligible for examination as per the rules laid down by the West Bengal Nursing Council & Indian Nursing Council.
12RegistrationThe students who are declared successful in the final year examination are eligible for registration with the W.B.N.C. as Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife.
